After introducing Huawei as a company and the company history and current status he outlined partnering strategies and opportunities with Huawei. With two colleagues from China and Roger Kilian Kehr from Germany Huawei was well represented at the workshop.

Slinger Jansen, a very experienced and renowned researcher in the software ecosystems space talked about ecosystem driven development at the European workshop on software ecosystems 2016. With a large number of examples and a broad coverage of different ecosystems, Slinger explained what different approaches and techniques are used by different software vendors for their ecosystems of developers.

Abilio Avila from Karlsruhe Institute of Technology presented at the European workshop on software ecosystems 2016 on the topic of "Management of Partner Ecosystems in the Enterprise Software Industry: The Partner Selection - A Comparison of Partner Selection Criteria with Existing Literature". In his research he analysed partner selection approaches with the approaches taken by practitioners in the enterprise software industry. The presentation was well received.

The topic of "How to define a platform business model with the platform business model canvas" was presented by Matthias Walter at the European workshop on software ecosystems. Matthias captured the audience with the definition of a new variant of the business model canvas, which was especially designed for platform business models. With many practical examples from his consulting projects the presentation was well received by the participants.
